The newly redesigned Phosys website
This week, as well as getting ready to go down to London to exhibit at the SWPP/BIPP conference or “The Society” as they are now called, we have been putting the final touches to our own new web site.
We put it live on wednesday evening, just as we were loading the van up with all the stand equipment to take down to Hammersmith. Iain travelled down separately on the train while Nick and Bryn took the transit down the M1 and around the M25.
We hope you like the changes we’ve made to the site. We’ll soon carry the new look and feel through to both the administration and “WebApp” pages too. Please feel free to continue to make comments and suggestions that you feel will help. We do listen to our customers and take into consideration any ideas and improvements that you make!
Happy New Year!
Phosys would like to wish all our customers and site visitors a happy new year.
As usual, we’ll be exhibiting at the SWPP trade show from the 16th to 18th of January at the Hammersmith Novotel London West. We hope that you’ll visit our stand and come and talk to us about the latest innovations that we’ve added and the advantages that a Phosys web site can give you!
New Server Cluster goes live!
Over the last few weeks we have been busy installing new hardware and software in our new data centre in Manchester. We hope to have all our customer web sites moved onto the new servers by the middle of September.
We’ve done extensive testing, and the Phosys system is now capable of distributing the sites over different servers.
During the move, your web site will be available on at least two servers so that you and your customers will not notice any downtime. PC users will have to download the latest version of the software (2.10.5) from www.phosys.com, which will automatically point you the correct server in the new cluster. Web application users should notice no change, as logging into any of our servers will automatically log you in correctly.
We apologise for any inconvienience during the move, but the majority of our customers should not notice any change.
Iain
New Checkout Features
We’ve just finished work on a number of new features for the Phosys Checkout system with more going live tomorrow.
The Checkout will automatically be displayed in the language associated with the users browser. What this means is that if a visitor from the Netherlands (Dutch is our first translated language) visits your site, the Checkout will be automatically translated for them. The currency displayed will still be the currency associated with your shop, and all transactions will be in your currency.
Because other countries don’t require all the address information like the British address system (e.g Title and County), the new basket will only capture information relevant to the country that the shopper is from:

We’re also planning to go live tommorrow with two new Internet Payment Providers – ePay (for our Danish and Scandinavian customers) and Barclays ePDQ.
Focus On Imaging 2008 – A big thank you.
Focus On Imaging 2008 has been our best exhibition ever. A big thank you to all our new customers who’ve signed up at the show, and who have called us since. We are working hard to contact you all and prepare your sites.
This year, as well as the three new monitor screens, we were also using our new 42″ display and a laptop. Unfortunately, at times we still could not demonstrate to everyone who was interested! So apologies if that was you – please give us a call and we’ll demonstrate the main features and benefits over the phone.
It was also nice to have so many of our existing customers visit us and introduce themselves. The comments you made about how pleased you are with our service and the support that we give you is fantastic.
We’re looking forward to Focus On Imaging 2009 and showing you yet more innovations that we build in to our ever advancing software.
